At road.cc, every product is thoroughly tested, as long as you need to understand its working conditions correctly. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists and we believe they are objective. Although we strive to ensure that the opinions expressed are supported by facts, the comments are essentially an informed opinion, not a final ruling. We will not deliberately try to destroy anything (except locks), but we do try to find any weaknesses in the design. The total score is not just the average of the other scores: it reflects the function and value of the product-the value depends on how the product compares with items of similar specifications, quality, and price.

Good grades are more common than bad, because fortunately good products are more common than bad.

The Orro Venturi STC SRAM Force eTap Tailor Made in 2021 inherits all the excellent qualities and attributes of the previous model, but now thanks to the fully integrated brake hose and some sparkling-looking cockpit components, the lines are smoother, which really makes It stands out from the crowd. SRAM's excellent eTap kit is also very popular.

After designing the 2020 Venturi Ultegra Di2 Wind 400, one of the best aerodynamic all-round vehicles I have ever ridden, Orro can easily be satisfied with its crown, but it is not the case.

The new fully integrated cable and hose routing not only provides marginal air gain, but also enhances the aesthetics, bringing sophistication to the front end, while the SRAM eTap construction provides you with the ideal gear ratio, whether you are on a flat road The harder hammering was still on the hills of the day.

However, before I get into all of these, let's take a look at what Orro hasn't changed: riding...

For such a rigid frame, the Venturi tube provides impressive comfort. You still know that you are on a tight, high-performance machine, but even if the tires are pumped hard, there are no harsh or irritating vibrations.

Many of these are achieved through the use of distributed tow carbon fibers (I will cover this in the section on the frame and fork below), but also through the laying of carbon fibers. Orro designs its own framework and does not use mold openings, so the company can fully control the finished product.

The smoothness of the ride means that even during long-distance riding, I will not feel any fatigue in the usual areas such as my wrists or waist, which allows me to move forward at a faster speed for a longer time.

As I said in my previous Venturi review, its geometry and handling are not as radical as a full-speed racing bike-it feels more like an extremely fast endurance machine with a lively advantage. The rigidity of the oversized tube and wide BB86 bottom bracket means that if you want to sprint or climb, once you leave the saddle, you will not be disappointed.

I tried my best on the road for this bike, and there was no bend anywhere.

The tubular profile and seatpost do provide aerodynamic advantages, especially when paired with 40 mm deep carbon fiber rims. This top model is also equipped with BlkTec Carbon Aero stems and handlebars, providing a clean front end.

All these add up to form a bicycle that traverses the air, especially when the speed exceeds 20 mph, the aerodynamics really become compelling in the real world. This thing can definitely move on a flat surface, especially when you squat down.

If you like downhill roads, then you will love venturis. Due to the riding position allowed by the geometry, it feels completely planted and turns quickly without sneaking into the border into Twitchyville.

I am a confident descender and I really like to push the bike as fast as possible, especially on technical hillsides. Obviously, this does not always go according to plan, but Orro will provide you with a lot of feedback to let you know the performance of your tires.

A few times I went into a slightly hot corner, we should say, but the venturi is easy to return to its original shape whether it is by turning or applying disc brakes. It is forgiving without reducing the level of fun.

As I mentioned, the frame is made of scattered carbon fiber, which means that the carbon fiber is arranged into a flat broadband; think of it as a ribbon woven together.

The manufacturer Sigmatex explained its advantages: “The expanded tow fabric is very thin, ultra-light, with close to zero crimp rate and fewer interlacing points. In addition to being beautiful, compared to standard 2D fabrics using 1K fiber, this technology also has Lower thickness and cost improve mechanical properties. It is said to reduce weight and increase stiffness.

However, the major change in this new framework is the integration of cables/hoses/wires. All the entrances on the down tube are gone forever, because they are no longer needed. You will only find the outlet points for the rear brake hose and the front and rear mechanical devices, although the latter two are not used here because eTap is a completely wireless system.

Here, the brake hoses pass from the gear lever through the handlebar and directly into the stem, from where they are fed into the head tube, guided by the earphone gasket.

The gasket is divided into two halves, so if you want to remove some to trim the steerer tube, you don't need to reconnect the cable or reconnect the hose.

The fork has also been adjusted because it no longer needs the entry point at the top of the leg, and the hose runs completely inside again until it exits above the caliper. This is a very clean frame set.

In terms of design, the Venturi pays great attention to aerodynamics, as you can see from the deep section.

First, it was developed around 28mm tires, highlighting the trend of using wider rubber for racing bicycles, so although the gap is large, when viewed from the side, the shape of the frame is closely related to the contour of the wheel/tyre size.

For example, the seat tube is curved around the rear tire, while the angled down tube fits snugly against the front wheel.

At the front, the head tube, down tube, and top tube are basically integrally formed, which provides some large cross-sectional area for rigidity. The front fork is also integrated in the down tube to achieve a smooth transition.

Not everyone likes press-in bottom brackets, because the early problems were very loose tolerances, resulting in squeaking and short bearing life, especially when riding in a humid environment. I have said this many times in the past year, but I have found that there are fewer and fewer problems with the various bicycles I have ridden, especially those that are ridden in winter.

One of the benefits of pressing the bearings into the frame instead of letting them sit on the outside is that the frame can be wider here to provide additional stiffness without affecting the Q factor (the distance between the pedals). The extra width of the bottom bracket shell allows the pipe connecting it to also have a larger cross-sectional area, thereby increasing stiffness and resisting any bending of the pedaling force.

Overall, the entire frame is very boxy and large, so it is impressive that Orro can provide so much comfort.

Orro seatposts use an internal wedge system instead of the more common external seat clamps. The bolt is hidden under the upper tube, and I am happy to say that it held the column firmly during the entire test.

In terms of geometry, it is certainly speed-oriented, but not as radical as you might think. This large size is equipped with an effective top tube of 558.2 mm and a head tube of 163.8 mm. The seat angle of this model is 73.5 degrees, while the head angle is slightly looser than the expected 72.3 degrees. This gives a stacking figure of 561mm and a range of 392mm, with a wheelbase of 999.5mm.

There are four sizes and two color options: a shiny black or matte black version with gold appliqués. I do like the shiny look, but when my son started calling it the Batman bike, he got me interested in this bike.

The Venturi series includes Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM structures, so you have many choices. What we have here is the SRAM Force eTap AXS model, which is my favorite kit.

First of all, once your muscle memory starts working, it is a very easy-to-use setting. There is a button on each shifter, click on the shifter on the right, it will put the chain down the cassette. Push the left one and it will crawl back. Push the two together and the front mechanism will move the chain to the other ring-right and simple!

But the biggest attraction for me is the ratio. It has a 12-speed rear, equipped with a 10-33 ton flywheel, and a 48/35 tooth chain set.

When using a 10t sprocket, you still have the large top gear for downhill flight (48x10 is about the same as 53x11), and the smallest sprocket/ring combination of 33x35 provides you with low enough gear to climb.

It's really easy to use on the road. To be honest, in most riding, the small front sprocket doesn't get much use. The gear changes are quick and crisp, the carbon fiber crank is very strong, ready to fully step on the pedal, and the whole device runs very quietly. The flat-top chain also continues its clean and smooth appearance.

Thanks to the SRAM app, it is also an easy-to-set-up kit that allows you to set how the shifter responds (it also shows you the remaining battery life of each component).

SRAM's hydraulic braking system provides power load and a large amount of modulation through a 160 mm diameter front rotor setting and a 140 mm rear rotor setting. When they were new, they were noisy in the wetlands, but after about a hundred miles, they began to quiet down and the braking force increased.

The top Venturi Tailor Made model is equipped with the BlkTec stem and handlebars I mentioned earlier. This was the first time I realized this brand when I rode its C1 wheels in 2014-an all-carbon wheel set that weighs an incredible 1,363 grams!

The carbon fiber Aero stem looks very business with its smooth shape and flush top cover. It's also very stiff.

The handlebars of the same name are harder than many carbon handles I have used, but just like the frame, it doesn't feel harsh. The flat top provides a comfortable hand position while being a little airy. The full-diameter central part allows you to install computers and lights, which is usually not possible in this type of design.

As far as the saddle is concerned, you will get Prologo Dimension, which is one of my favorites. This is a sturdy seat, but I like it, it kind of fits a venturi. The liner is elastic enough to remove the worst rough materials, and its hard characteristic provides you with a good platform to push when you sprint or climb on horseback.

This Venturi is equipped with Fulcrum's Airbeat 400 carbon fiber 40mm wheels. The original equipment model is only for bicycle manufacturers and not the general public. They are very similar to Fulcrum’s Wind 40 DB wheels in terms of hub and rim depth, but are a few millimeters wider to better match the 28 mm tires.

Their nominal weight is 1,640 grams, so they are not the lightest, but their 24-spoke construction provides a lot of stiffness, and the durability looks good.

The specification list might say Vredesteins, but our test bike is equipped with Continental Grand Prix 5000 TL tubeless tires mounted on pivots. When replacing them, these are not cheap, but boy, they have a strong grip and roll quickly. Even on cold and wet roads, when you are racing at a roundabout or turning at high speed, they can inspire your confidence.

It turns out that puncture protection works well during hedge trimming, and because of the inner lining, they do not need to be re-inflated frequently.

The price of this Venturi model is £4,599. Considering the kit, wheels and finishing kit, I think this is a good value bike. The frame set is not stingy.

Canyon has updated the Aeroad in 2021. Like Orro, it does look like a smooth and fast machine due to the integration of the cable/hose. The CF SLX 8.0 Disc AXS model is equipped with the same Force eTap package as the Venturi, but it is priced at £5,499, but you will get a set of 62 mm deep DT Swiss ARC wheels, which is definitely not cheap. With this in mind, Venturi is still competitive with a brand that is often touted as a good value for money.

> Buyer's Guide: 28 Best and Fastest Pneumatic Road Bikes of 2021

A few months ago, I reviewed the Wilier Cento10 SL. It is very beautiful, not only in appearance but also in riding style. Its design is similar to that of a Venturi tube and reflects some aerodynamic advantages. Although it is a racing bike, its comfort means that it can travel as fast and as long as an Orro. I tested the Ultegra Di2 model priced at £5,290, but Wilier also offers the Force eTap AXS model at the same price, with a finishing kit similar to the Venturi.

The 2021 Venturi retains all the spirit and fun of the previous model, but brings more improvements and makes the beautifully-looking bike more attractive. The BlkTec components did the job well, and the SRAM eTap kit really took advantage of the performance of the frame.

Amazing appearance, performance and riding quality of competitively priced bicycles

Tell us the purpose and target audience of this bicycle. What is the manufacturer's comment on this? How does this compare to how you feel about bicycles?

Orro said: "Our brand new Venturi STC is an evolution of our beloved speed machine. We know that this bike has nothing to completely change, so we retain the geometry and handling that make the Venturi so easy to ride, and The frame and cockpit have been updated to make it better. We now have a fully integrated cockpit on each model to improve front-end aerodynamics and a clean appearance.

'The Venturi is an aerodynamically optimized frame that returns you with excellent speed. This is a bike that encourages you to ride fast, but allows you to cruise comfortably when you want to calm down. Prologo, BlkTec and Sram kits ensure that it is a pleasure to use every touch point throughout the ride. "

Venturi is an amazing bike, with the latest adjustments to improve aesthetics, and the SRAM kit creates a clean and efficient bike.

Where is this model within the scope? Simply tell us the cheaper option and the more expensive option

The Tailor Made Shimano Ultegra starts at £3,599.99, the Ultegra Di2 model starts at £4,399.99, and the Super Record version above the Force eTap option starts at £5,999.99.

Orro also offers a standard STC lineup with FSA cockpit (everything is still integrated for a clean front end) and Fulcrum 400 DB wheels. Prices for Ultegra models start at £2,699.99.

Tell us the quality and finish of the frame and front fork?

This is a high-quality frame, and the matte color does give people an invisible feeling.

Tell me about the materials used in the frame and fork?

Orro uses dispersed tow carbon from British carbon composite material expert Sigmatex. "Unfolded tow" refers to the arrangement of carbon fibers into flat ribbons; think of it as ribbons woven together.

Tell us the geometry of the frame and fork?

This is a race-oriented bike, but the head tube angle is slightly looser than I expected; this means the steering does not tremble at all, but it is still fast.

How is the bike in terms of height and range? How does it compare to other bicycles of the same size?

The stack and range numbers are exactly what I expect from a racing-style bike; on this large model, the stack divided by the range is 1.43.

Is the bike comfortable to ride? Tell us how you feel about the ride quality.

For such a strong frame, it is impressive.

Does the bike feel stiff in the right place? Do you feel any part of the bike is too hard or too flexible?

The stiffness of the entire frame and fork is very impressive.

How does the bicycle transmit power? Do you find it very efficient?

Due to the large bottom bracket area, the venturi tube can transmit power very well, and the weight of less than 8 kg means it feels responsive.

Are there any toe clips overlapping on the front wheels? If so, is this a problem?

How would you describe the turn? Is it lively, neutral or unresponsive? Just the interesting side of the neutral.

Tell us more about the processing. How does the overall feel of the bike? Is it good or bad for certain things?

The overall steering is not as sharp as some of the cars I have ridden, but it is very close, which means that the front end never feels twitching. If you find yourself a little overwhelmed, the calmness of the steering allows you to control everything effortlessly.

Which components have the greatest impact (good or bad) on the comfort of the bike? Would you recommend any changes?

The flat top of the BlkTec handlebar provides a comfortable hand position during long-distance riding. I am a fan of the Prologo saddle shape.

Which components have the greatest impact (good or bad) on the stiffness of the bike? Would you recommend any changes?

Both the stem and the handlebar provide enough stiffness to get rid of the saddle effort, as does the pivot wheel.

Which components have the greatest impact (good or bad) on the efficiency of the bike? Would you recommend any changes?

I am very satisfied with the ratio of the SRAM kit.

Tell us more about the drive system. Is there anything you particularly like or dislike? Any components that don't work well together?

The Force eTap kit is excellent. Gear changes are quick and sensitive, and braking is powerful and precise.

Tell us more about wheels. Do they work well under the conditions you encounter? Will you change wheels? If it is for what?

A set of high-quality wheels can provide some aerodynamic advantages without being so deep that they become rare on windy days.

Tell us more about tires. Do they work well under the conditions you encounter? Will you change tires? If it is for what?

The tires themselves are expensive, but the Venturi deserves its excellent grip level and low rolling resistance.

Tell us more about the control. Are there any particularly good or bad components? How will the controls work for larger or smaller riders?

The specifications of Venturi are very good, I think this is a bike that does not need to be upgraded anywhere. It's great to see quality components like BlkTec, and the shape of the rod provides plenty of hand positions.

Do you like to ride a bicycle? Yes

Would you consider buying a bicycle? Yes

Would you recommend this bike to a friend? Yes

How does the price compare to similar bikes on the market (including those tested recently on road.cc)?

Although the cost of Canyon mentioned in the comments is higher, it mainly depends on the wheels; you like it, and the price is about the same, which is impressive considering that Orro is adopting the direct-to-consumer model used by Canyon.

The price of Venturi is also much cheaper than Wilier Cento10 SL.
